We never received any phone call, no compensation for dripping toilet water on my head (gross! and not what I expected to have on my vacation!) or even anything other than a half hearted sorry. Management apologized and said that they would call me later once their team looked at the pipes, at the very least to let me know what was leaking on me.
The water did stop after 10 minutes and I decided to inform the cleaning crew when we saw them and told management when we checked out. I am assuming that it may have been toilet water from the floor above, which is concerning as I am also pregnant and who knows what might have been in that water!! My husband and daughter will still sleeping, so I couldn't call right away to get it fixed or checked out, as anyone with a cranky 2 year old knows it would not be a good day for us. The day of check out, I was using the restroom when water starting dripping on my head from the vent above! It smelt, and I laid down towels in order to help contain the mess. My only complaint is in the management this trip. There are plenty of options for food nearby for all sorts of pallets, but there is typical american dining if you never wish to leave the resort! ice cream at night is most certainly a fun treat, but I do wish the Dunkin stayed open longer throughout the day. We enjoy the pizza available near the waterpark and the meatballs are excellent! There is plenty of things to do around the resort at night and we are always a fan of the night dancing for our daughter! The hotel is near a mcdonalds and we choose to eat there for breakfast instead of using the resorts dining. We do wish that the slides near the kiddie splash area were gated off but we kept a good watch and didn't have any problems. The waterpark is generally fairly clean and there is plenty for our 2 year old to do. Overall, we enjoyed the trip, as we had the last time. Room was clean and we were given a room with a balcony that was nice, but we did not enjoy as it had snowed and the facility does not clear off the snow from the balconies, it was too cold for it anyway, but its a FYI. We enjoy this style room as it provides the perfect space to set up our pack and play for our 2 year old and gives some privacy for my husband and I.
We chose the wolf den suite as our room, and were within the first building.
This was our second time staying at the property, and even given the issues, it won't be our last. We booked a weekend getaway to the great wolf lodge.
