If i open a command prompt and type in FTP LOCAHOST then I am asked for username and password and I successfully login and can see my files.Also I have forwarded ports 20 and 21 in my linksys router to my computers ip address.
The ftp site is configured with the localhost address 127.0.0.1. I think I am almost there I have got IIS 7.0 manager running and I downloaded and installed FTP Publishing Service ,which by the way was not part of Windows/ Add Components.I have added an FTP site to IIS and pointed it to a folder on my desktop into which I have copied a couple of files. Hi I hope someone out there can help me I would really appreciate it.I want to be able to share files with a friend of mine over an internet connection and so I thought of using FTP.
